Our Level 2 Media course is a 1 year program designed to teach creative and technical skills to students who may be taking or retaking their GCSE Maths/English exams. The course is designed to allow students to explore and develop their media skills, whilst having sufficient time for Maths/English study and revision.
The focus of the Level 2 course is Factual Programming, which covers lighting, filming and editing an interview, radio and television news reports, documentary photography and documentary film making. Please scroll down to see examples of factual content produced during our 2017-18 academic year.
Note: The course content for the 2018-19 academic year is subject to change.

The first project of the Level 2 Media course is to introduce yourself through a video interview, which must be lit and filmed appropriately and have at least three cut away shots. In her film, Jade has been very creative, using a wide range of interesting shots that are edited well into the main interview.
